Karen Banker holds a BS from the University of Rochester in New York. She is a self-taught artist, and her work has been exhibited, and won awards, in venues throughout the United States and in Japan. She is in private and corporate collections across the United States and in Japan and Europe. She is a signature member of the Georgia Watercolor Society, a member of the National League of American Pen Women, is in the Archives of Women Artists at the National Museum of Women in the Arts, Washington D.C., and is in Who's Who of American Women. “My paintings come from my memories and experiences although not always definitive renderings of an image. Rather they are meant to evoke emotions and to offer possibilities to the observer to “get lost” in them.”
